2- Librarian Dine-in Thursday, September 13th 6:30-8:30pm

Don't forget that CALCON isn't over after all the inspiring workshops during the day. As the host library, Loveland Public Library is excited to offer a Dine-In Night on Thursday, September 13th. Come chat it up with a few Loveland Public Library hosts and enjoy yummy foods at a couple of Loveland's local haunts, Door 222 and The Black Steer! Door 222 offers hand-crafted tapas, lunch, dinner and desserts in an upscale, energetic atmosphere in downtown Loveland. The Black Steer offers hearty steaks, burgers & seafood served in casual quarters with a rustic Western atmosphere. Space is limited. Pre-registration is required, and please make sure to arrive on your own steam and on time! See you then!

3- Loveland Loves Librarians Friday, 6:30-9:30pm

Get excited to have a night out with fellow Colorado librarians! Meet up in downtown Loveland to experience the city's monthly art walk "Night on the Town" as well as attend Loveland Public Library's open house. Be sure to stop into the library to listen to live music, tour the library, have some libations and see "live art". Afterwards, grab a bite to eat at a yummy restaurant down the street and play PacMan at our hoppin' arcade & bar, The Flipside! Be sure to wear your badge for admittance and possible discounts around downtown.

GAME NIGHT at CALCON18

Based on last year's success, Game Night returns to CALCON 2018! While you dine on free snacks (trust us, they're good), play games and win prizes, OverDrive's own Abbey Deckard will talk about how OverDrive is continuously improving to better serve their valued library partners and their readers.

Drop-ins welcome! Stop by the Aspen Daisy room of the Embassy Suites to participate.

Visit the Exhibit Hall

CALCON18 simply could not happen without our amazing exhibitors! The best part? They are here just for you! Get the most out of your time in the Exhibit Hall! A few tips:

  • Make a list of Exhibitors who might help you and your library meet its goals in the next 6 to 12 months.

  • Draft questions you want to ask in advance.

  • Make appointments over breakfast, social events and coffee breaks.

  • Attend the TWO receptions. There's great foods and ample time to chat.

  • Have real conversations. Share what you need, and keep them informed.

  • Follow your favorite vendors on social media.

  • Get names and business cards from everyone you meet.

  • Play the Exhibitor Game! Prizes awarded daily!

Serve on the Planning Committee
