You might be wondering what we are doing at the 2021 CALCON Conference with regards to COVID-19 safety protocols.

We are following local and state guidelines for our conference. We acknowledge the July 27th revised recommendations for mask-wearing by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).  The Fourth Amended Public Health Order 20-38 requires unvaccinated people to wear masks in specific settings, including medical facilities (including long term care facilities), homeless shelters, prisons, and jails. The state also requires universal mask use for staff, visitors, and residents in residential care facilities regardless of vaccination status. The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) encourages people who are not fully vaccinated to wear masks in all other public indoor spaces to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.  We strongly encourage mask wearing indoors for everyone, whether vaccinated or not.

There will be sanitizing stations available throughout the conference center. There will also be hand sanitizer and sanitizing wipes in every breakout room.

Lunch is covered under the conference registration fee.  Each lunch will be individually wrapped.

We recognize that not all of us are comfortable meeting in person this September and will miss those who are unable to join us this year. However, we hope to offer a safe and inclusive space for those who are able to meet in person. Participants will be asked to sign this waiver at conference registration.

Please let us know if you have any recommendations as we continue our COVID-19 safety protocol planning. We want to hear from you. You can email us here.
