Diana Nelson was born and raised on the South side of Chicago. Her philosophy has developed into: "You can accomplish anything if you are determined and have faith in yourself."  She has utilized this philosophy to accomplish her success in business as well as her personal life.  She started her business career by working in corporate America for companies such as Coors Brewing Company, Marshall Fields, and The Gap Company. She is a single mother with two wonderful and incredibly handsome sons (ages 18 & 16). Always interested in the world of children, she interviewed and researched existing toy stores to understand their business models before jumping into the acquisition of a small existing toy store. She wanted to focus on toys for children under 12 years of age. Today, as a result of hard work and dedication to children, she has taken Kazoo to new heights of brand awareness, professionalism and community involvement. Her success hasn’t come without a great deal of hard work.

The vocational path taken by Diana has not always been an easy one, but throughout her career she has focused herself both personally and professionally toward working with and helping entrepreneurial women set and achieve their goals. As a result, her success has rubbed off on numerous other women.
